Northern Lights 2010 trade show connects public, businesses and government in Montreal
January 31, 2010  - Gord McCreary, President and CEO of the Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation shows Nunavut Minister of the Environment Daniel Shewchuck a sample of black hematite at the Arctic College booth on January 28. New facility under construction for Nunavut Research Institute in Rankin Inlet

September 2, 2010  - A new research support facility for the Nunavut Research Institute is almost complete in Rankin Inlet. The new building will support visiting researchers and provide them with lab space for their work, thanks to funding from the Government of Canada's Arctic Research Infrastructure Fund.

September 1, 2010  - Caribou are an extremely important resource to Nunavummiut. A territory-wide strategy for Caribou management is needed. By working together, and bringing together our knowledge and resources, we can ensure that there will be Caribou for future generations.

August 30, 2010  - Canada's Economic Action Plan is also about creating jobs and stimulating the economy. The Hon. Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for Science and Technology visited with Iqaluit construction workers, and to learn more about Nunavut's new Research Institute headquarters.
