Kugaaruk Nunavut Teacher Education student wins $2,500 IODE Shirley Cheshire Memorial Scholarship

March 9, 2010  - Nunavut Teacher Education Program Instructor Margaret Bentham joins IODE Shirley Cheshire Memorial Scholarship recipient George Ningark in Kugaaruk. George has been pursuing his Bachelor of Education degree with Arctic College for four years, and will graduate in June 2010. Congratulations, George!
Jewellery and Metalwork students visit Vancouver during Olympics

March 8, 2010  - Students with the Arctic College Jewellery and Metalwork program were in Vancouver demonstrating their skills in Vancouver at Northern House during the Olympics last month. Follow their adventures by visiting their blog Frozen in Metal today!
Students and Staff study traditional knowledge with Elder in Iqaluit

February 27, 2010  - Students and instructors from the Inuit Studies and Fur Production and Design programs participated in an IQ Information Session held at the Executive and Intergovernmental Affairs boardroom on February 24. They participated in a very interesting discussion with Elijah Erkloo, an Elder Advisor with CLEY, about traditional customs and practices, how and why they have changed over time. Thank you Elijah!
