My experience in taking the Environmental Technology Program (ETP) at Nunavut Arctic College (NAC) was amazing.

Three of us students got to travel to Montreal for the International Polar Year conference which is held every 50 years. This was a once in a life time experience. We represented ETP and presented what ETP offers as a program, highlighting the many partnership programs available throughout the school year.

Two of us ETP students out of all Iqaluit NAC students got the opportunity to talk to the Prime Minister in 2013 during his announcement about Adult Basic Education (ABE) funding. We spoke to the Prime Minister about education and the importance of finishing high school.

I enjoyed the two years of ETP! Wonderful and great opportunities always arise for the students, and it can be very rewarding after completing the program!

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2015 academic year!

The Environmental Technology Program is a two-year diploma program that incorporates classroom and practical lab and field experiences to develop student skills.

Graduates of the program will possess the necessary skills to meet the growing demand for environmental practitioners in such fields as resource development and management, fish and wildlife conservation, environmental protection, parks management, environmental assessment, waste management, environmental research, and environmental education.
