Nursing students hold annual blood pressure clinic

The student nurses at Nunavut Arctic College are celebrating Nurses week by holding a blood pressure and health knowledge clinic at Northmart May 8.

The theme this year is Nurses: With You Every Step of the Way.

Indeed Arctic College Bachelor of Science in Arctic Nursing students are with Nunavummiut every step of the way.

Are you interested in a career in Nursing?

The Bachelor of Science in Arctic Nursing, developed collaboratively between Nunavut Arctic College and Dalhousie University, is a four year program that focuses on nursing in Nunavut. The degree is conferred by Dalhousie University. The program is designed to prepare graduates as entry-level practitioners to work in a variety of settings, to include: hospitals, long term care facilities and community based agencies. The curriculum emphasizes awareness and respect for Inuit culture and prepares nurses to be leaders in the health care system of Nunavut.
