Canadian Red Cross is now accepting donations online for Iqaluit Creekside Fire victims

On February 26, 2012 at approximately 10:00 PM, fire destroyed a 22 unit apartment building in Iqaluit, Nunavut, forcing families to evacuate in the middle of the night with little more than what they were wearing. Resources are difficult to come by in the Arctic where supplies must be flown in and, despite an outpouring of support from the community, assistance is urgently needed. The Red Cross has deployed volunteers to provide emergency food and clothing and support to those impacted by the fire. Your financial support is greatly appreciated and we thank you for your compassion and generosity.

Thank you for your support.

Should received donations exceed the needs of those impacted by the fire in Iqaluit, Canadian Red Cross will utilize funds for our ongoing disaster response work.

Please provide your contact and payment information. The contact information is required to generate a tax receipt. Your transaction will be securely processed by IATS/Ticketmaster. An email notification will be sent to the email address that you provide.
